Broadcast, Video, Radio

From broadcast, and social content to pre-roll and editorial content, I have enjoyed working on a ton of exciting projects. Here are just a few examples.

Staples breakroom “decaf”

This spot was one of a series showing how Staples brought more to the office. We worked with our agency to use our delivery guy (AKA “Guy”) as our spokesperson who could interact with everyday office people and solve their problems.

Staples tech services "restart."

As the CD for this spot I worked with the creatives to illustrate the frustrations of getting technology fixed and how Staples could make it easy.

Staples co-branded spots

This spot is just one example of four I wrote to complement some of the most popular cable shows at the time. They were done for Discover Network, Science Channel, TLC, and Animal Planet. The tricky part was thinking about what Staples could say and then find footage from the network shows that would work with the script.

Chewy Halloween

Chewy historically produced very straightforward low-funnel spots. I challenged the creative team and marketers to think bigger for Halloween. I wrote and directed this incredibly fun spot that changed the format for all low-funnel spots moving forward.

Chewy brand video

I wrote and directed this internal video to show the wide range of work and great results for our internal agency.

Katy Perry and Staples PSA

I wrote and was involved with the production of this super-fun video that raised awareness for Staples educational charitable efforts during the back-to-school season.

Ace Wheelworks Customer Spotlight

At TSYS I’ve developed, directed, and produced several customer spotlight videos. We shot 7 and went on to sell the concept to partner companies in order to fund more great videos like this one.

Staples Loyalty Program

Originally, the ask on this video was for a very straightforward (aka boring) informational video about Staples loyalty program. As the CD on the project I worked closely with the writers to find the real, emotional benefits of the program for a real business and we got it to a much more interesting place.

Staples radio "Magic Marker"

This spot was for HP printers and ink. I wrote, casted, and directed and used humor as the hook to a typically dry top.

Staples radio "Warehouse club"

I wrote, cast, and directed this humorous spot for Staples to demonstrate the drawbacks of shopping the giant warehouse clubs and illustrate what Staples was the better choice.

Staples regional radio (Dallas)

Competition was moving in on various markets where Staples had a presence. I had the idea to do regional radio spots with local Staples associates to let the audience know Staples was already in their neighborhoods hiring locals, just like them. We did several around the country and each city saw a lift in store traffic as a result.
